Whistler DE-3500 Review - READ THIS FIRST!

I have used Whistler radar detectors for many years and have them on all of my vehicles. This model, which is wireless, was very attractive because of the ease of installation. Unfortunately, the unit mounted under the hood and the display on the interior of the car do not talk to each other well and you are plagued with messages and beeps saying they are not communication.

Works well, easy to install. Only bad feature is the separate laser sensor, that must be mounted on your windshield, with wire attached to receiver unit.

The problem I had on my Volvo xc90 is if your car has a lot of electronics it may cause communications issues. The wireless is not wireless communications. It requires a clean ground to communicate between the radar in the engine and the receiver in the passenger compartment.
