Escort Solo-2 Review - READ THIS FIRST!

The detection capabilities of this unit are great. I got the S2 a couple years ago so I could use it both on batteries on a motorcycle and plugged in in a car. It works wonderfully in both places, except that the batteries jiggled loose due to the bike's vibration. Solved that by shimming them with a spare foam earplug.

More and more police agencies are using laser and I got nailed (again) this week and the unit never went off. In fact, the only times I ever get a laser warning are when I am passing a major airport (guess they use them to help direct in planes for landing) and for some reason the laser warning goes off when I receive a phone call on my Blackberry and am using a bluetooth headset.
